Community guidelines
GRLS Do works because people show up as themselves and treat each other well. These rules apply to everyone: attendees, hosts and our own team.
Be who you say you are
- Use your real first name and your own photos. No impersonation or fake accounts.
- You must be 18 or over.
- One account per person.
Respect people
We don't allow:
- Harassment, bullying, threats or intimidation, online or at events.
- Hate speech or discrimination based on race, ethnicity, religion, disability, sexual orientation, gender identity, age or any other protected characteristic.
- Sexual content, unwanted sexual messages or advances.
- Sharing someone's personal information, photos or messages without their consent.
- Continuing to contact someone who has declined, ignored or blocked you, including through other apps.
No scams or spam
- No selling, recruiting, pyramid schemes or unsolicited promotion in messages.
- No requests for money, gifts or financial details.
- Don't resell tickets outside the app or above face value.
Hosts
- Describe your event, price and venue accurately, and label who it's for honestly (women only, women focused or open to everyone). If there are eligibility rules, state them clearly.
- Honour the refund and cancellation policy you publish.
- Take reasonable steps to keep attendees safe, and follow the law, including licensing, health and safety and age restrictions.
- Use attendee information only to run your event. Never add attendees to marketing lists without their consent.
- Prohibited events include anything illegal, sexual services, weapons, events that promote hate, and financial schemes.
What happens if rules are broken
We review reports and may remove content or listings, limit features (such as messaging or connection requests), suspend or permanently remove accounts, and, where there is a risk of harm, contact the police. We keep a record of moderation decisions.
Appeals
If we've taken action on your account and you think we got it wrong, email safety@grlsdo.com within 30 days with the email on your account. A different member of the team will review it and reply.
