Refunds & cancellations
Every event listed on GRLS Do, including GRLS Do Originals, has the same simple refund policy. You see it on the event page before you pay, and it's saved on your booking.
The refund policy
This is the same for every event listed on GRLS Do, including GRLS Do Originals.
You CAN get a refund if:
• it's within 24 hours of buying your tickets, or
• the event is rescheduled or cancelled.
You CAN'T get a refund:
• within 24 hours of the event start time, even if you've only just bought your tickets (unless the event is cancelled), or
• more than 24 hours after buying, unless the event is rescheduled or cancelled.
Example: you buy on Monday for an event on Saturday. You can get a refund until Tuesday. After that there's no refund, unless the event is rescheduled or cancelled. If you buy on Friday evening for an event on Saturday morning, there's less than 24 hours to go, so tickets can't be refunded.
How to get a refund, and what you get back
Open your booking and choose Get a refund. If you are inside the policy it is approved straight away and goes back to your original payment method. It can take a few days to reach your account.
You get everything back: the ticket price and the GRLS Do booking fee, if you cancel within 24 hours of buying, or if the event is cancelled or rescheduled and the new date does not work for you.
Outside the policy: ask the organiser
If it's more than 24 hours since you bought, or the event starts in less than 24 hours, you can still ask for a refund. Choose Get a refund on your booking and tell the organiser why.
These requests go to the organiser, who decides whether your reason is valid. Organisers aim to reply within 5 working days, and you will see their answer and any note on your booking.
If they decline, they may offer something else instead, like moving your ticket to another date. GRLS Do doesn't overrule an organiser's decision on a request outside the policy.
You don't need to ask if an event is cancelled or rescheduled: you're covered by the policy above.
Organisers
Independent organisers list events on GRLS Do. They do not write their own refund terms: they agree to this policy before an event goes live, so it is the same for every event listed here.
Event Spotlight boosts are for organisers and are non-refundable.
If you have a question about an event, message the organiser from your booking. If something has gone wrong, ask GRLS Do support to step in.
Booking fees
Some organiser events include a GRLS Do booking fee. It is part of the total you see before you pay.
The booking fee is refunded with your ticket if you get a refund within 24 hours of buying, or if the event is cancelled or rescheduled. If an organiser approves a refund outside the policy, the ticket price is refunded and the booking fee is kept.
GRLS Do Originals and free events never have a booking fee.
Sold out? Waitlist and resale
If an event is sold out you can join the waitlist and say how many tickets you want. If people can't make it, they can offer their tickets to the waitlist at the same price they paid.
When tickets become available, the people whose request fits are told in the app and by email: the biggest request first, then smaller ones, oldest first within a size. You have 20 minutes to claim before it goes to the next group. Tickets are held for you while you pay.
If you sell your ticket you're refunded the ticket price and your booking fee once the other person has paid, and your ticket stops working. The person who buys it pays their own booking fee. Only sold-out events have a waitlist, and tickets can only be offered to people on it.
Events on other websites
Some listings, like tech events around London, link out to the organiser's own website (marked "Tickets on …"). Refunds and cancellations for these events are decided by the organiser, and you buy and manage those tickets with them, so their policy applies.
Check it before you buy. GRLS Do is not part of that sale and cannot refund it.
Free events
There's nothing to refund. If you can't make it, cancel your spot from your booking so someone else can go.
