Safety

GRLS Do combines real-world events, profiles and messaging, so safety is built in from the start, not added later.

You control who sees you

  • Booking a ticket never shows you to other attendees.
  • You choose, per event, whether other attendees can see you, and whether you're open to connection requests.
  • Profiles show a first name, a general London area and interests, never your exact location or date of birth.
  • One-to-one messages only open after both people accept a connection. There is no anonymous or random chat.

Report and block

In the app you can report or block someone from their profile or any conversation, and report an event or host from the event page. Blocking is immediate: the person can't message you, see you in attendee lists or send you requests. Reports go to our moderation team, who review them and can remove content, restrict features or suspend accounts. On the web, use our report form or email safety@grlsdo.com.

Hosts and events

Hosts agree to our community guidelines and host standards. Events must be described and labelled accurately. We review new hosts, may verify identity before paid ticketing, and remove listings that break the rules. Some hosts share exact addresses only with people who have booked.

Meeting in real life

  • Meet at the event itself. That's what it's for. Keep first meetings with new connections in public places.
  • Tell a friend where you're going and when you expect to be back.
  • Plan your own way home.
  • Never send money to someone you've met on GRLS Do. Tickets are only ever sold through the app.
  • Trust your instincts. You can leave any event or chat at any time.

In an emergency

If you or someone else is in immediate danger, call 999. For non-emergency police matters call 101. After you're safe, please report what happened to us so we can act on the account.
